Siblings (April 2017)

Brothers At The Park

These months just fly by don't they? It's funny because when you write a monthly post, it always feels like you have only just written the previous one when it's suddenly time to write the next.

So here we are, seven months into our siblings posts and what a joyous month it has been. It was my first Mother's Day as a mum of two and on top of that, the weather has been so gorgeous (well, up until now!) that we have managed to get out and about a lot more.

There have been some really special moments between my two boys this month. Their relationship is just divine and whilst they do have their moments (mainly when Oscar is trying to grab Zach's hair or is in his walker and is the way of Zach getting past on his bike!), they both make each other so happy. The squeals of delight when Oscar and I go and pick up Zach from nursery is just gorgeous. The way they look at each other. The way that Oscar watches absolutely everything that Zach is doing. It is just delicious and at those moments, I want to eat them both up!

It's always really interesting because on the days when Zach is at nursery, Oscar is very different. Much quieter. Much less settled. It is obvious that he misses his brother being around for the whole day. Although it's good practice really because next week we find out what school Zach is going to in September and then it's only five months until he starts! It actually makes me a bit sad that from then on, they'll be spending a lot less time together. Although I shan't dwell on it too much because I want to make the most of the time they do have between now and then!

As I say, there have been quite a few really lovely moments this month and so I am including a few photos from different times rather than a few of the same moment! Sometimes it is just impossible to choose.

First up is the two of them 'playing' in the front room. Zach on his bike and Oscar in his walker. If I remember correctly, the game was related to Christmas and I think Zach was Santa and Oscar was an elf! I love Zach's imaginary games, especially when he gets Oscar involved too!

Next up was when I was snuggling with Oscar post feed and Zach wanted to come and cuddle his brother. I love it when he decides to do it himself!

And finally, probably my absolute favourite, was when Oscar was playing on his mat on the floor and Zach went to play with him, showing him all the different bits on one of his rattles! So precious.

I just love watching my boys together and they make me so, so proud to be their mum. I really am a very lucky lady 🙂
