Dinosaur (Prehistoric) Party Pack – a review

I do like a good theme for a children’s birthday party. So far we have had three birthdays and three themes. Year one was a jungle theme based on the fact that he was obsessed with Raa Raa the Noisy Lion. Year two was Thomas themed based on the fact that he was obsessed with Thomas! This year I wasn’t 100% sure what to do. I always like to bake the cake alongside the theme and I didn’t want to make too hard a job for myself. Equally, the only thing he is really obsessed with at the moment is Sooty and I am not sure a Sooty themed birthday would have been quite what we were after for a theme. The other thing he quite likes at the moment is dinosaurs and so that is the theme I decided to go for. I looked into the dinosaur cake and discovered one I could make and I looked at the ranges of dinosaur decorations to pretty up the front room into party mode.

It was then that I was fortunate enough to be put in touch with Party Bags & Supplies who were interested in me reviewing one of their party packs. And of course, they had dino’s a plenty.

Being only three years old, I didn’t want to get anything that would potentially scare Zach or the other children who were coming to his party and so I opted for the Prehistoric range as they are slightly less sinister looking than the ones I would have picked for an older child.

The prehistoric party pack consists of the following:

8 cups
8 plates
16 Napkins
1 Tablecover
8 filled party bags each containing – Dinosaur Mini Egg, Finger Trap, Dinosaur Bookmark (assorted colours) and 1 mini Pack of Haribo Starmix Sweets.

The design of the prehistoric pack is really great. The pictures are fab and they are bright and bold colours that really stand out. The tablecover is made of a papery material, it’s thick and large so if you have a big table it’ll still be perfect. We have a smallish table and there was plenty left so I found myself taping it to stop it from draping on the floor.

The cups and napkins are great quality and look fab.

Of course the biggest perk with this pack is the pre-filled party bags. I don’t know about you but I am a nightmare when it comes to trying to think of things to fill party bags and it can get pretty expensive. With these, everything is already in them. You simply take them out, pop them on the table and hand them to the children at the end. So easy for someone who had no time to organise anything properly this year!

The products inside the bags went down a treat with the kids…especially the dinosaur eggs and the bookmark. I’d never have thought of those two things myself.

Overall, I was really impressed with all of the products within this pack and I would definitely use Party Bags & Supplies again. The delivery was super quick and they were a pleasure to deal with. They even have halloween and christmas products so if you are planning a spooky part or need some stocking fillers, I’d go check them out!

We were sent the dinosaur (prehistoric) part pack, which retails at £28, for the purpose of this review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
