Easy Mom and Baby – Bamboo products review

A really long time ago, I was contacted by the owner of Easy Mom and Baby to see if I would like to try out some of the products from their bamboo range. I say a really long time ago, we were having discussions just before Oscar was born and he's now five months old. Blogging has been a bit hit and miss, I have been a bit rubbish and I am only now getting round to writing it (sorry Lis!). That said, it does mean that since I've been using the products for five months, I am able to inform you of whether they are long lasting!

I was very kindly sent a blue elephant swaddle blanket and a blue hooded towel for newest my little man. I have always been very careful with the fabrics I put on my children – with Zach suffering quite badly from eczema (which thankfully gets better every year), for him it was always 100% cotton to allow his skin to breathe. I didn't at that time realise how soft bamboo products are but I wish I had have done. Not knowing whether Oscar would have similar skin to his big brother (so far so good), I am still really careful what I use on him.

When I opened the packaging of the hooded towel, I was gobsmacked at just how soft it is. I seem to recall rubbing it on my cheek because it felt so amazing. When we gave Oscar his first bath, it was a no brainer that I would be using this towel on his precious newborn skin. The towel is really big and so we lay him in it and fold the bottom half up which means he is super snuggly inside which is so important with a new baby, especially one that is having his baths throughout winter. The hood is nice and big so it covers the whole of his head and honestly, he looks like he could just happily stay there. We have been using this towel since he was born and it's been through the wash many times and is still as soft as the day we received it.

Now I will confess that I am not a swaddler. I did think about trying it with Oscar but since he loves waving him arms and legs around, I never got round to trying it out. The swaddle blanket does not need to be for swaddling though…it is a giant blanket and because it's so light, it's been perfect for using around the house while he's been sleeping and it was even more than perfect to use when he had a temperature from the pox.

Again this blanket is super soft and we have been using it since he was a tiny baby. It is going to be the perfect blanket to use in those slightly warmer spring months. The quality is outstanding and it is certainly withstanding the washing machine cycles!

If you have a new baby or if you are expecting one, I would highly recommend these gorgeous bamboo products for their precious skin. I so wish I had discovered them earlier.

We were very kindly sent these items for the purpose of this review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
