***GIVEAWAY*** Whimsy Wood book 7 – Posie Pixie & The Pancakes

I have a fantastic opportunity for you to win one of five signed copies of the new Whimsy Wood book which is due for release at the end of June.

A little about the book series
The Whimsy Wood collection, written by Sarah Hill,  is a series for 5-8 yr olds and consists of 35 books. These are divided into 5 sets, each containing 7 books. Every book is written for a specific month in the calendar so the flora and fauna change as you read through the series. There is a proverb tucked away within each story giving the books real meaning and finally 10% of book sales are donated to The Wildlife Trusts UK.

The first Whimsy Wood book, ‘Posie Pixie And The Copper Kettle’, was published in July 2013 and book 7, ‘Posie Pixie And The Pancakes’ will be launched at the end of June.

I’ve had a sneak preview of the new book and I know that if I was a 5-8 year old, I would love it in my collection. The illustrations by Sarah Mauchline are absolutely stunning and really make the book come to life. The characters feature every child’s favourite woodland creatures and the story always has a purpose to teach the reader – in this one, it’s don’t eat until you make yourself feel sick – something I am completely guilty of!

A little about the author
Sarah Hill is a small animal Vet. She gained her Veterinary Medicine degree at Bristol University in 1999 and worked in practice for 10 years. At that point she had her second daughter and soon after she decided to take a career break. She now writes her children’s series, ‘Whimsy Wood’, at home in Wiltshire with her husband, two daughters, a son, two cats, a dog and ” a partridge in a pear tree “!

The Whimsy Wood series is published by Abela Publishing where you can buy Sarah’s previous books directly.

The launch of this book will be held on Saturday June the 27th, at The White Horse Book Shop, Marlborough, Wiltshire from 2.30pm.
