November – it brings a multitude of thoughts.
Cold, crisp days.
An acceptable time to get excited for Christmas.
And Children in Need.
Yep – that night is coming when I spend the evening watching lots of celebs do lots of funny things to raise money, get totes emosh with all the videos, donate some money, and sit astounded on each hours’ total as it rises, and rises, and rises. I mean in 2017, the total raised on the night was £50,168,562. Every year it gets more and more. Every year people become more and more generous. It really is incredible.
We all know that along with the on the night broadcast, there are many, many events that go on around the Country where people are raising money. For the last four years, The BBC Countryfile Ramble has taken place to raise money to help disadvantaged children and young people across the U.K.
For the second year running, Blacks have teamed up with the BBC Children in Need and have produced an absolutely gorgeous Children in Need hat to keep those rambling heads warm, AND to raise money for the charity. The hat costs £7 and at least 50% of it goes straight to Children in Need.
We have been lucky enough to receive a hat to show you all, and you’ll see by my wonderful model Oscar, just how lovely it is. I know I am a bit bias, but he totally rocks it right? It his new favourite thing to wear and it keeps his head super warm whilst we are out and about in this cold weather.
This nationwide ramble event challenges everyone to get outside and rack up some miles in aid of BBC Children in Need. This year the target is set at an ambitious 18,505 miles. Last years ramble raised a staggering £100,000, and this year Blacks are pitting their stores and head office against one another in a friendly competition to find out who can rack up the most miles and money. And of course, there will be sponsored rambles happening around the country, so check with your nearest store to find out when yours is and get rambling.
It goes without saying that if you are rambling at this time of year, it is pretty important to have the right equipment. So if you need a Men’s waterproof jacket, Men’s gloves, Women’s winter jackets, or Women’s North Face accessories, then check out Blacks to make sure you are fully equipped for your rambles. We have been loving the products that we were sent for our review 🙂
So, if you are ready to get your #HatsOn for #BBCCiN – then make sure you grab your Children in Need hat and get outdoors and ramble!
