Treating the other half with new clothes from Jacamo

I am always very thankful for the opportunities that come my way, but never more so than when it means I get to treat someone else. Just a couple of weeks before his birthday, I was contacted by Jacamo, to see if I would like to be sent a selection of Men’s clothing to review on this blog. We had already pretty much decided that we weren’t going to be doing birthday presents for each other (although I had of course treated myself to the Spa day with my Sister!), and so I thought it would be really nice if I surprised him with a new bunch of clothes.

I spent some time scrolling through all of the items on the Jacamo website, and found it pretty tough to whittle down at first as there is such a huge selection. I knew I wouldn’t be going down the trouser route – I have stood in shops with him when he has been trying to buy jeans and it takes him forever to choose because the sizes are always all wrong – too long in the leg, too low down on the waist – I knew I would never be able to pick a pair for him that fitted. The top half though – that’s pretty easy to buy and so that’s what I went for.

Jacamo has a huge selection of brands on their site, like Adidas, Jack Jones, Hunter and Firetrap to name but a few. They mostly focus on menswear collections, but they do also sell accessories, tech stuff and even have a Christmas stocking range to choose from right now! So if you are looking for something to buy the man in your life (or your Dad, Brother, Nephew, etc,), they are the perfect go to!

Back onto my items. They arrived the day after the other half’s birthday and he was super happy with everything I chose for him. Of course, with him being the recipient, it meant that he had to model them all for me and so because the light in our house is awful, and it’s almost impossible to get a photo without there being either a pile of toys or a load of paperwork in the background – we headed out into the garden for a little photo session. Which was actually hilarious because the boys were trying to join in and it was super hard to get a photo that wasn’t him telling the kids to move out the way, or getting the giggles because he felt like a numpty posing for me!

The first thing that I had ordered for him was a gorgeous Jack & Jones hoodie. I knew the ones he has are quite old and that he really needed a new one and so I chose what I thought would look awesome on him, and got it right! It was a massive hit – really good sizing, comfy and cosy – just want you want in the winter months!

The next thing I picked was a Jack & Jones t-shirt. My other half lives in t-shirts at the weekend (and on dress down Friday at work!), but so often he just goes for plain ones because they are always on some kind of offer. So I picked a nice branded one in a colour that I thought would suit him and he was super chuffed with it. Again, the fit is perfect on him and the material of this one is really soft to the skin. It was a massive winner, I have to say!

The final item that I picked was a smart casual shirt – something that has been lacking from his wardrobe. I knew the kind of style that would look good on him because he used to have one similar, so I knew I couldn’t really go wrong. Everyone needs a denim style short sleeved shirt in their wardrobes, for that casual night down the pub or what not! Again, this was a super choice and he agreed that he would have picked it for himself.

Those were all the items that I picked and we were both super impressed with all three of them. The quality of the clothing is really good, the choice available online is really good, and I am super glad that I have discovered it. And because I mentioned it above – here is what it’s really like working with other halves and kids!

We were very kindly sent the selection of clothing in this post for the purpose of this review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
