Twinkly Tuesday 19/12/17 | And it’s a goodbye from me

I can’t believe this is it. My final week of hosting Twinkly Tuesday. After almost three years since I started it, I am hanging up the reigns and handing them over to someone new. I feel a little bit emosh but equally I know it is the right thing to do. I feel like someone needs to come along, take over, inject a bit of life and love back into it and actually spend quality time on the community – something I haven’t really been able to do for a while.

Juggling the blog and the children is not easy but as the blog is now my job, I have to look at where I need to focus and sadly Twinkly Tuesday isn’t one of those things. I’m very proud of the linky it is, with a regular community. I started on my own, then gained a co-host in the form of the gorgeous Caro from The Twinkle Diaries and then we hired Sadia from HDYDI blog, and then I found myself alone again. It’s been quite a journey, but one that I am really glad that I started.

Thank you to all of you who have linked up over the last (almost) three years. Thank you for all the lovely comments, for reading my posts. Thank you for the support when I have struggled to comment myself.

This isn’t the end though. As I mentioned, I am handing the reigns over to someone new and I am super pleased to tell you that person is the lovely Kate from Confessions of a New Mummy. I will be filling her in on everything Twinkly over the next couple of weeks and the first link up of the new year will be on January 9th. Please do head over to Kate on the 9th and take part. I know she would love to see you all.

So from me, a very big goodbye and a very big merry Christmas.

My final Tuesday Twinkler is from E.L.Feelgood’s Vintage who has written a really great post on the free gifts that we can give our children. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the presents we are getting them and the fun that we are giving them, that we forget that sometimes all they want is a moment of our attention, a cuddle and a little thought. The post will be featured over on the Pinterest board (one day I promise!) and the fab writer can go grab their badge here!

I’m so happy that you are leaning into your freedom to make this choice — and having said that, I’m really going to miss your voice here.
Blessings to you as you move forward on this parenting and blogging journey.
