Is there anything better than getting new pj’s? They are such a special item of clothing. As soon as I know I am home for the night – so generally straight after the school run – I pop upstairs and change into them. That’s me done. If people come to the door, I don’t care. If I have to take the bins out, I don’t care. I associate my jim-jams with being done for the day, and with being super comfy whilst I do all the really boring stuff! Equally, I love getting the boys new pj’s too, because they always look so cute in fresh ones.
So when The Pyjama Factory got in touch with me to see if I would like them to send me some pyjamas, I of course said yes. Browsing through their site, I didn’t know what to go for at first. Would I be totally selfish and just get a couple of pairs for myself? Should I just focus on the boys? What to do, what to do.
And then. Well, I made the most radical decision I’ve made in a long time. I did umm and ahh about it for a while. Because it’s not something that I would normally do. But I couldn’t help myself, because it’s Christmas and the perfect excuse. So I did it. I asked for a set of matching Christmas pyjamas. I have become that Mum!
But how fun. To have matching sleepwear. I was really tempted to go for the Mum and Dad Elf set (plus the elves in training obvs), but I couldn’t bring myself to do it – simply because I wasn’t sure whether the other half would actually go for that, and also because I felt that they were a Christmas time only set.
Instead, I played it safe and ordered the Mummy Bear, Daddy Bear, and two Little Bears, set. I liked the look of them because rather than being solely Christmassy, they have a more wintry design which means it is totally acceptable to wear them whenever. And I thought that the other half could probably be persuaded into them for a photo opportunity!
The pyjamas arrived and I was super impressed immediately. I ordered a size 8-10 for me and they fit fine. I’m probably more of a size 10 but knew 12-14 would be far too big. I ordered Zach a size 6-7 and his fit perfectly (he’s not long turned 6 and is pretty tall), I ordered Oscar a size 2-3 and they actually don’t swamp him like most 2-3’s do (he’s a small age 2), and I ordered a large for the other half which he moaned about, because he is more of a medium and they were huge on him! So I got a replacement pair sent out to keep him happy and they fit perfectly! So size wise, I would definitely say they are true to size.
The pyjamas are super soft. They are 100% cotton which makes me very, very happy. I am a bit more relaxed with clothing having to be 100% cotton nowadays because Zach has pretty much grown out of his childhood eczema and Oscar has never really suffered with it, but even still – I love knowing that they are sleeping in breathable material, and that it is soft on their precious skin.
Overall, I am super impressed with the pyjamas and would have no hesitations to go to The Pyjama Factory for any future ones required – they have a huge selection to choose from 🙂
We were sent the set of matching pyjamas for the purpose of this review and I received no payment for my time. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
If you like this post, I would love it if you would give it a little pin for me 🙂
