With just a few days until Mother’s Day, how many of you are in a bit of a panic because you haven’t managed to get anything sorted as yet? I got my Mum’s main present a couple of weekend’s ago but I still need to get her a little something on top! Usually though, I leave things until the last minute. I remember last year she was round on the Friday and so we celebrated together then – only I didn’t have anything for her and had to nip to the flower shop round the corner to buy her something! I had it in my mind for days that I would get something from there but had completely forgotten that I would be seeing her two days early!
Of course, it is my Mother’s Day as well and so it is in the safe hands of the other half to sort something out for me! I always like quite personal gifts from the boys but if it comes down to it, he couldn’t go wrong with simply buying me some flowers and chocolates!
That’s why I was pretty chuffed when the lovely people at Prestige Flowers wanted to work with me on their Mother’s Day bouquets, because I quite simply love receiving flowers!
They said they would be sending me a bouquet along with a teddy and a box of chocolates and so when I came home to a delivery note from the postman, I knew that’s what would be waiting for me at the delivery office. Usually you have to wait 24 hours before collecting but as I was passing on the school run, I decided to try my luck since I didn’t want the flowers to be stuck there overnight until I could get there in the morning. Luckily, they were there and I happily carried the box home with me!
The box itself is really pretty. It’s important that the packaging is just as nice as the inside contents – you want the person to know how special they are, and for me, anything like a pretty box or gift wrapping is a winner.
And the contents inside were just as lovely! A gorgeous bouquet full of pink roses and lilies. Again, they were beautifully wrapped in black paper and hand tied to make them look even more special. They were sat inside a gift bag, along with a little vase to put them in, the box of chocolates and a teddy. Of course, the teddy has well and truly been claimed by the boys and it was soon taking rides on a toy (ride on) aeroplane and also featuring in some school role play!
I love the different shades of pink in the roses and when the lilies bloom, it is going to be even more stunning. They tend to send them as buds because it doesn’t take them long to start wilting so it increases their longevity and freshness. They usually take a day or two to start opening but the roses have already started opening up even bigger.
And the smell as you walk into the living room where they are, is divine. I just love fresh flowers – the way they make an area light up with beauty and the way they make the room smell.
The service from Prestige Flowers is perfect for those last minute gifts with a range of delivery options like next day, weekend delivery and even same day (if ordered by a specific time of course!). Really, there is no excuse to not get that bouquet there on time!
I have been super impressed with the quality of the products that were sent to me and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Prestige Flowers if ever I need to send a bouquet to someone.
I was sent the above mentioned products for the purpose of this review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
